CM Punk Set to Face Gunther at SummerSlam as Roman Reigns Shocks WWE Universe with Raw Return

Monday Night Raw ended with absolute mayhem as Roman Reigns made a stunning return to WWE for the first time in three months. His surprise appearance came moments after a dramatic main event that determined a new contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam.

CM Punk Secures Title Opportunity

The night’s main event featured a five-man gauntlet match to decide who would face Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam. Bron Breakker stole the spotlight early on, defeating Penta El Zero Miedo, LA Knight, and Jey Uso in back-to-back contests. His momentum was aided by an assist from his new ally, Bronson Reed, who interfered during Breakker’s match with Uso.

In the final round, Breakker faced CM Punk. Despite wrestling for over 35 minutes, Breakker fought valiantly. However, when Jey Uso returned to counter a second interference attempt by Reed, Punk capitalized by landing the GTS on Breakker to earn the hard-fought pinfall win.

With that victory, CM Punk officially earned his spot in a marquee title match against Gunther at SummerSlam.

Roman Reigns returns

Punk’s celebration was short-lived as both Reed and Breakker launched a post-match assault on him. Jey Uso attempted to intervene but was overpowered. Just as the dominant duo prepared to deliver a double Tsunami splash, Roman Reigns’ music hit, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Reigns returned to thunderous cheers and cleared the ring with ease — delivering a Samoan Drop to Reed, a Superman Punch to Breakker, and a powerful Spear to finish off the ambush. He then helped Jey Uso to his feet as chants of “OTC” filled the arena.

The show concluded with Reigns glaring at the remaining members of Seth Rollins’ faction who stood watching from the stage, signaling even more drama to come.
