Missed Fists: Gingsanglek destroys opponent with disgusting spinning backfist knockout

Missed Fists: Gingsanglek destroys opponent with disgusting spinning backfist knockout

We just put up a list of the most explosive fighters in MMA to commemorate July 4 and you know what, we might have missed a few guys if this week’s regional and international highlights are any indication.

(Big thanks as always to @Barrelelapierna for their weekly lists of the best KOs and submissions, and to @Grabaka_Hitman for uploading many of the clips you see here. Give them a follow and chip in on Patreon if you can.)

Suriyanlek vs. Rambong
Gingsanglek vs. Alexey Balyko

By some accounts, things aren’t going great for ONE Championship right now, but that shouldn’t stop anyone from appreciating the amazing athletes that step into the ring week in and week out. The latest Friday Fights event in Bangkok, Thailand, was highlighted by Gingsanglek ending Alexey Balyko with a spinning backfist knockout that is the stuff of dreams (or nightmares, depending on your perspective).

There’s knocked stiff and then there’s what happened to poor Balyko. His body would have been ejected from the ring were the ropes not there to save him. Gingsanglek, you’re a very, very bad man.

The main event finish was nothing to sneeze at either as Suriyanlek left Rambong sleeping on the ropes with a brutal flurry.

Rambong was left frozen like a fly in amber. This KO shall be preserved for all eternity.

Han Sang-Kwon vs. Yeo Je-Woo

Wait, did someone say nasty elbow KO? Han Sang-Kwon, show us what you got!

From Road FC 73 in Seoul, Han stepped into his spinning and drove his elbow right across Yeo Je-Woo’s face. It happened so fast, I’m not sure Yeo even had a face afterwards.

Zakaria Elhanna vs. Matusalem dos Santos

At Ares FC 33 in Nantes, France, Zakaria Elhanna came over the top with a right hand over the top that sent Matusalem dos Santos flailing to the canvas.

The French heavyweight was competing in just his third pro bout after debuting a year ago and while his technique leaves plenty to be desired, he’s already showing power and style in spades.

Islam Youssef vs. Benyamin Ghahreman
Amir Fazli vs. Rostem Akman

Islam Youssef gave us one of the year’s best knockouts at PFL MENA 2, so make sure you check out our writeup on that brilliance.

And definitely don’t miss what Amir Fazli did to former UFC fighter Rostem Akman.

Not only did Fazli send Akman’s mouthpiece flying, he almost sent the hair flying off of his body with that shot. If you’ve ever seen Akman before, you know how impressive that is.

Terrence Xinti Born vs. Tico Van Den Berg

Let’s get to some more swangin’ and bangin’, courtesy of Terrence Xinti Born at an EFC Worldwide event in Sandton, South Africa.

By the way, how many unnecessary hammerfists were there this week? This is getting ridiculous. Gregory Rodrigues, I’m looking at you for inspiring this rude behavior.

Kasim Aras vs. Adam Palasz

At least there’s one finish where every ground strike was absolutely necessary, albeit no less terrifying.

Kasim Aras absolutely mauled Adam Palasz at an Oktagon 73 event in Hamburg, Germany. I’d coin a cliché and say he treated Palasz like a chew toy, but last time I checked chew toys weren’t capable of begging for mercy.

Since a 1-4 slump that included two losses in Bellator, Aras has bounced back with consecutive wins including a Levels Fight League championship win this past December. Aras is only 37, give this young gunner a chance, Uncle Dana!
