Jamie Ritchie and Tom Jordan to Miss Scotland’s Final Tour Test Against Samoa

Scotland will be without Jamie Ritchie and Tom Jordan for their final summer tour fixture against Samoa due to injury.
Ritchie, who recently moved from Edinburgh to Perpignan, and Bristol’s new signing Jordan both picked up injuries during Scotland’s 29-14 loss to Fiji on Saturday.
On a more positive note, Matt Fagerson has recovered from the knock he took in Suva, while Ben Muncaster and Gregor Brown are expected to be available for Friday’s match at Eden Park in Auckland.
Assistant coach Pete Horne commented: “Unfortunately, Jamie has injured his foot and will be unavailable this weekend, which is disappointing for him.
“The good news is that Matt came through training earlier and he’s looking good to play, which is a real boost.
“Tom Jordan’s situation is also unfortunate. He had some discomfort after the game and, although he rarely complains, there was some swelling in his hand. Scans and X-rays revealed a fracture, so he’ll miss the game as well.”
Speaking on those who sat out Saturday’s game, Horne added: “Gregor is making great progress. He was involved in some training earlier and is going through the return-to-play process. Things are looking good for him to be available soon.
“And Ben resumed training late last week, so he should be all set too.”
