Jackson future in doubt at Chelsea?
Latest from Sky Sports News' Kaveh Solhekol:
There are more question marks over the future of Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson after he was an unused substitute during their Club World Cup quarter-final against Palmeiras on Saturday.
He was available again after a two-match ban, but he has lost his place in the starting XI to new signing Liam Delap.
Maresca then replaced Delap with Joao Pedro instead of Jackson in the second half despite the fact Pedro has only been a Chelsea player for a matter of days and is not match fit.
Delap is suspended for the semi-final against Fluminense on Tuesday, so it will be interesting to see whether Maresca starts with Jackson or Pedro.
Chelsea have spent £90m this summer on players in Jackson’s position.
Jackson has seven years left on his contract and he has attracted interest from Premier League and Saudi Pro League clubs.
